  1. verse 22, "Noah did everything just as God commanded him."

The most unbelievable proclaimation up to that point in history - God is going to destroy all things living. Not just a little bit or in a little area, but all the earth.

So God has this little conversation with Noah and he is told to build a boat (what's a boat?) because it's going to rain (what's rain?). Noah's reaction is priceless - whatever, whatever God wants he will do just as he is commanded.

That's what I want for my life. I want to do whatever God commands of me. I don't want to question or doubt, I want to be obedient.

Earlier in the chapter it says that Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. I want to find favor in God's eyes. I know that comes from years and years of walking with God - moment by moment listening to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and saying yes. That's how I want to live everyday.

  2. 11 Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, "I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.

This was so many years ago. What does God think now with all the killings, the divorces, the slander ??? I want to try to change things so that God does not see us today, they way that he did way back then.

I want the Lord to look at me and smile, and embrace me with his love. I want him to be proud of me for helping to change it, even if it is just the smallest bit. God is filled with Love, and I want to be as well.

The bible tells us that IF WE LOVE GOD, then we will follow his commands. When you look all around you, look at the people that do not show love to God. I want to truly love him, so I listen for even the gentlest whisper from God, just a small prompting, of how I can help out. Thank you Lord.
