  1. Verse 13, "But Saul said, 'No one shall be put to death today, for this day the Lord has rescued Israel.'"

Saul had his chance to get rid of those who were against him. He could have removed them completely and shown everyone else that came against him what the result would be. Instead, Saul was compassionate. He kept his focus on God. It was God's day, not Saul's day. He wanted to celebrate what God had done on the battle field in rescuing his people.

I must remember that today is the day that the Lord has made and rejoice in it. God is my rescue and my shield. God is my Savior. God loves me and wants the best for me. When people speak against me they speak against Him. I put my trust in Him. This is His day.

  2. Then the terror of the LORD fell on the people, and they turned out as one man.

They turned out as one man because they all came together. We do the same when we come together thru christ. When we all trust in him, when we come together thru prayer. That is why it is so great to fellowship with other christians thru SMALL GROUPS !!!! We come together thru christ, and when God has a message for us it comes thru Loud and clear. I am so glad to be part of the body of Christ and not a part of this world !!

Lord, thank you for reminding me that I am part of one body, I belong with the body of Christ, I belong with the other believers. Thank you for reminding me today as the world started to attack that I can remain strong today by joining you Lord and remaining attached to your words and your ways.
